About

Rachael Bodek was brought into her musical world in July of 1987. She had begun her life of music even before she was released from the womb. She developed to Rachmoninoff, Tchichawski, and many other composers along with jazz and other artists.

Rachael started out on piano when she was only five years old. When she got to the ripe age of eight she came home with a paper from the schools orchestra teacher to play the violin. This was the beginning of what her whole life would evolve around.

She engulfed herself into this instrument through tough years of her life growing up.  The violin gave her comfort and peace in herself.  She involved herself in community orchestras around her Chester County home. The best musicians’ in the suburban counties taught her. She learned a lot of different styles of playing.

While growing up, Rachael was classically trained. She was taught Suzuki, which is learning by ear. She enhanced this teaching through playing solos before her church, and  other small venues. She actively played in her high schools pit orchestra for her four years attending. After she graduated from high school she went onto furthering her education by going to community college. At Delaware County Community College she studied teaching for secondary level. After three years of little music in her life she decided it was time to challenge herself and move into the residency of a university. Rachael attended West Chester University, only to find that Music education was a little more than a challenge. She ended up not being able to make requirements to the over zealousness of this music school so she went back the following year to Delaware County were she is now getting her last semester in to get her associates degree in Secondary education. After this Fall semester of 2009, she will be looking into music therapy.

Rachael has played with variety of artists from all genres of the music world. She has played with  classical to showtune  groups to rock  bands, to even doing some solo music of her own. She has collected two beautiful instruments through her musical journey. The first and most treasured violin is a rendition of the Italian model Il Cremonese. These violins are known for their impeccable  sound quality, good resonance and beautiful strength in sound. Her second violin is becoming more and more closer to her each day. It is a handmade instrument from Vietnam that was created with an inlay if pearly designed shell and has a unique design only she has.

She plays for weddings and is always up for new ideas and different sounds. She awaits you to help her extend in her experience through music and hopes that what the reader has learned about her can better your search for talent.
